Based in Tring we provide surveying services to both commercial and residential clients throughout Hertfordshire and are particularly active in the areas of Berkhamsted, Aylesbury, Hemel Hempstead, St Albans, Watford, Beaconsfield, Amersham and Oxford. Whether you’re a large scale commercial organisation or a residential first-time buyer, we personalise our service to suit your needs.

Our business is built around four primary services, comprising building surveys, Party Wall surveys, health and safety consultancy and defect diagnosis.

Our History

Our business was founded by our Managing Director and Chartered RICS Surveyor, Nick Brown (FRICS). Nick has been in the surveyors industry since 2004 and has a comprehensive understanding of Hertfordshire’s building stock.

Nick has a rare and genuine passion for surveying; outside of work you’ll find him either lecturing undergraduates on the subject of Building Pathology or helping the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors to assess the professional competency of new candidates.

Before becoming a trusted member of the chartered surveying community, Nick graduated from Plymouth University in 2004, having studied Building Surveying and the Environment BSc. (Hons).

Nick developed his early career by working for a number of reputable chartered surveying practices throughout the south of England. This progression allowed Nick to refine his own vision of what a forward-looking, modern building surveying practice could be.

In 2015 Nick turned his vision into reality, founding Ashridge Surveyors in his home town of Tring. Crucial to Ashridge Surveyors formation was the belief that complex property matters are best resolved simply and transparently, in a way that clients can truly understand.

This culture, combined with a local focus, has enabled Ashridge Surveyors to establish a well-respected presence in Hertfordshire, with many valued and long-term clients.
